Pensacola International Airport has been renamed Pensacola Intergalactic Airport for Pensacon2015
Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward was joined by City Councilman Charles Bare and representatives of Pensacon, Pensacola’s massive annual pop culture gathering, at the Pensacola International Airport on Thursday to announce a partnership to promote this year’s convention.
The Pensacola International Airport will be renamed the Pensacola Intergalactic Airport until March 3rd, 2015. This is part of the cities way of accepting people from all walks of like (and whatever galaxy you’re from) to our great city.
Pensacola Real Estate Expert Shane Willis stated “This event is anticipating 30,000 participants, and according to the numbers I have seen over 60% of those will be from out of town. Last year, the convention had over a $1million impact on our great city. This co-op from the city helps the convention immerse the participants from the minute they step off the plane. This event is quickly becoming a premier event here along the gulf coast.”
